Earlier on Friday 5th October 2018, Honourable Aliyu Jibril Guraguri got his nomination form to run for house of reps, representing Shinkafi & Zurmi .
In a Facebook post posted on his Facebook wall Honourable Aliyu Jibril Guraguri said
"After due consultation with my Mentors, , well wishers and political mathematicians, I hereby announce my registration and purchase of form to contest for house of representative under the platform of All progressive grand alliance (APGA). We as a people can not do the same thing all the time and expect different results.
I call on all the people of Shinkafi and Zurmi especially women and youth irrespective of their political party, religion or ethnicity to rally behind and support me towards realizing this dream.
If I happened to get elected in to the lower chamber, I pledge to do the unthinkable by showing exceptional representation of my people through enhancing security of lives, promotion of employability skills among youth, social support for the less privileged, scholarship for students and capacity enhancement for our communities to be able to engage in more profitable agriculture and other commercial activities in the desired secure atmosphere.
Character, personality and track records of candidates are going to play critical role in determining the fate of the elections in 2019 and I am optimistic that the people of Shinkafi and Zurmi are confident that with me at the national assembly, they are ably represented.'
